GATE is pleased to highlight its next collaboration with the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, a strong partner in the promotion of Open Science within the economic sciences and beyond. ZBW actively advances Open Science through a wide range of formats, including Podcasts, the Open Economics Guide, Open Science Conferences & Retreats, and its latest and particularly innovative initiative, the Travel Guide „Expedition Open Science.

The Expedition Open Science guide invites students, early career researchers, and educators on an exploratory journey through the Land of Open Science. Using the engaging format of a travel guide, readers navigate key stages of the research process under the Open Science concept, including Preparation, Planning, Documentation, and Dissemination. At each “station,” relevant Open Science practices are clearly illustrated and supported by concrete examples.

Through its collaboration with GATE, the Expedition Open Science Travel Guide now forms part of GATE’s efforts to foster continuous knowledge exchange on Open Science.
With the authors' knowledge of Open Science implemented into the guide, we can refine our goal and explore what Open Science is today, what its guiding thoughts, values and its practical implementations are, and above all, how Open Science is developing.
